Brussels Invest and Exports Welcomes the Executive Master Immobilier Delegation to Shanghai

This April, Brussels Invest and Export team welcomed in Shanghai a dynamic and vigorous Belgian delegation that’s composed of professionals with expertise in the European real estate market. It’s a study tour initiated by the University of Saint Louis for the master program: Executive Master Immobilier (EMI). The week-long study tour (April 2-8) has fulfilled its purposes with strong support offered by the Brussels Invest and Export team.

As the mission unfolded, the EMI delegation visited Shanghai-based influential asset management companies, real estate agencies and developers with a view to networking with relevant stakeholders and exchanging opinions. Besides, EMI delegation wrapped up the mission with field-on study trips to the Shanghai Tower, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, Tongji University, and even to a project in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

The study tour helps our Belgian professionals go deeper to explore how China’s real estate works at one hand, and build contacts with famous Chinese counterparts at the other hand. All these will form a solid foundation for future cooperation. Being part of Brussels Regional Public Services, Brussels Invest and Export will dedicate itself to making it happen.

Brussels Capital Region Minister President Vervoort and Secretary of State Jodogne Met Jack Ma in Brussels

On 23 May 2016, Mr. Rudy Vervoort, Minister President of the Government of the Brussels Capital Region, and Mrs. Cecile Jodogne, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade and Investment for the Brussels-Capital Region, welcomed Mr. Jack Ma, Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group in the Conference Hall of the Brussels Government. During the meeting, projects were discussed such as a project on tourism and an economic trade mission to Hangzhou in 2017.

On February 11th, 2015, the second edition of the tourism seminar "Belgium, your ideal tourism destination in the heart of Europe" was held successfully at the Consulate General of Belgium in Shanghai.
 
Initiated by Wallonia Brussels Tourist Board, the seminar was co-organized by the Visa Section of the Consulate General in cooperation with Brussels Invest & Export (assisted by Visit Brussels) and Visit Flanders. In addition to the presentations by three regions, representatives from Eurowing, Hainan Airlines and Rail Europe also introduced their business and cooperation with Belgium.
 
After the event, Brussels Invest & Export received positive feedback from around 30 participants who are from travel agencies in MICE and leisure travels.
